Sometimes at a flea market you find yourself asking, “Who in the world would buy that?” Other times you find something you want (and other people see you walking around with it and say, “Why would they buy that?”) The flea market is huge! There are about 5 buildings parallel with both ends tied together with two more buildings. Here’s a little write up from their web page. The Mesa Market Place Swap Meet is a 55 acre facility filled with over 1600 booths all under one covered roof! Mister system for summer cooling with plenty of breezeways to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather. The Market is totally paved for automobile and bus parking. The Market features 6 snack bars and one restaurant with plenty of seating so you can enjoy the entertainment of the day while eating one of your favorite dishes featured at the Market.
We went to the area swap meet (flea market) and a car show yesterday. Flea markets amuse me in that I enjoy different people and there are many different types of people there. To the right is a neat chair that would look great in a log cabin.
Here’s Kim in a folding chair that has a retractable roof over it. We didn’t buy them. We only spent a few dollars while there.
We really enjoyed the car show. It is held every Saturday night in the K-Mart parking Lot. There were probably over 100 cars. Dad’s friend and neighbor Jim always goes and takes one of his cars. We hung out with him some.
If you look on the door of the truck you can see a swimmer diving into the water.
The guy on the right (brown coat) is dad’s neighbor Jim. We’ve become fast friends. He’s a lot of fun. Below is his yellow Chevy SSR at the show. He also has an older red Mustang convertible which is in really good shape (better than Jim;).
The Colts lost today so that’s kind of sad. I watched it with dad at his home. We’ve been meeting a lot of neighbors here in our park and will probably meet more tomorrow. Temps were mid 70 today with lots of sunshine.
